Memorials placed on Northland Clinics grounds

A memorial garden went into the ground in front of McClusky’s Northland Clinic building on Tuesday evening, June 5. It is between the main entrance doorway steps and the handicap ramp on the east side of the clinic.
Spokesperson Missy Axt, who is a registered nurse at the clinic, told that money had been donated about two years ago from the Olivia Nigrin family. She added, “We are using that and also donating things in memory of our daughter Gracie as well.”
Physician’s Assistant Sarah Baker also donated to the project, as well as did other volunteers of time and energy: Jim and Mary Lou Hilzendeger, grandparents of Gracie, did the tilling of the patch; Don Ebach “dug” and Sue Ebach helped place and plant the items of decoration which included small decorations as well as trees and perennial flowering plants.
The planting work began after regular clinic hours, about 5 p.m. on June 5. They finished later the same evening.
Nigrin’s memorial donation came from her granddaughter, Leslee Froehlich, C.O.O. of Community Care Health Center in Austin, TX. The clinic received a letter thanking them for the care Olivia had received and sending $400 for a memorial.
Baker donated in memory of all of the patients from the clinic.
