On January 4, 13 of the McClusky FFA members traveled to Bismarck for the annual Winter Leadership Conference. At this conference, many students were split into groups, primarily by grade. The conference included four different conferences all in one. The 101 conference is for students that are seventh, eighth and ninth
grades. The 212 conference is mainly for sophomores. The 360 conference is for juniors and seniors. Lastly, there is the gold conference, which is a hands-on conference for any seniors interested in becoming a state officer. The gold conference is something new to Winter Leadership this year.
McClusky FFA had two students from this chapter attend this last conference that weekend, where they learned more about what it means to be a state officer and how to get their name out. Later in the day, they took part in putting together meals for Meals of Hope. More than 200 meals were pakkaged to be distributed throughout the state of North Dakota.
