Looking over the choices to start her teaching career, Dawn Marie (Lambert) Krein chose McClusky. She is now the LD/MR teacher at McClusky Elementary School.
Born and raised in Williston, ND, Krein’s mom and stepfather still live there, while her dad and stepmother live in Ray. She has two brothers.
Older brother, Anthony, and sister-in-law Steph live in Missoula, MT, where he has his own chiropractic business and his wife helps out when needed and also works for a photographer in Missoula.
Younger brother, Shawn, is living in Kansas City, MO. He graduated high school in 2009 and decided to head to Kansas City for college and to play baseball.
Krein also has two nieces, Lillie and Ella, and one nephew, Lakin.
Krein attended college at Sinte Gleska University, Mission, SD and took classes at United Tribes Technical College, Bismarck, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education in May of 2009.
This past summer, she taught summer school at “Life Education,” a program for students, ages 18-21, who have disabilities.
Krein has been married for one and one-half years to Monte and enjoys being around family and friends. She also likes to cook, golf, watch movies and travel.
