Market starts 2016 season
By ALLAN TINKER
For top quality fresh produce, farmers markets cannot be beat. The loyal local customers were rewarded by the early cold crop varieties and were anxious to see the first tomatoes and peppers show up.
The first McClusky Farmers Market was July 13 at the Heart Park, along the east side.
Roberta Hunt and Roger Hunt again had their large variety of produce for sale, along with Roger’s garlic.
Market President Cheryl Helm and Phyllis Helm also had a table full of produce and kept the basket of produce for the door prize available for all to see. Tickets were issued to customers.
