Local Legion Post holds annual Veteran's Day program

Keeping up a tradition of observing Veteran’s Day in style, the Goodrich Albert Block Post #56 held its annual Veteran’s Day Program in the local high school auditorium. The gym chair seating was close to two-thirds full, with many sitting along the front row of bleachers as well. The musical portions of the program were accompanied by Winnie Stober, pianist. The program opened with the usual advance of colors, national anthem singing, and the pledge to the flag. The invocation was given by Legion Chaplain Gordon Felchle. The audience sang the anthem, "America the Beautiful," and "My Country Tis of Thee," with special musical selection by Tia Harper who performed "Battle Hymn of the Republic.’
