Local editor receives Legion honor

Allan Tinker, former editor of the McLean County Journal, now part of the Central McLean News Journal, and current editor of the McClusky Gazette received the North Dakota American Legion Press award at the North Dakota 2019 American Legion Family Winter Conference in Minot, on January 25.
Turtle Lake American Legion Lawrence Stephenson Post #133 submitted the nomination for the award.
The North Dakota American Legion Press Association (NDALPA) objective in offering this award is to recognize individuals or groups from and throughout the state who have made major accomplishments in publicizing or promoting American Legion areas of interest that include one or more of the four pillars of the American Legion; Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security and Veterans Affairs.
