Local American Legion Auxiliary holds annual salad luncheon

Junior and adult members of the McClusky American Legion Auxiliary held their annual Salad Luncheon on Wednesday, August 14. Milestone membership certificates and pins are awarded yearly at this event.
This year Mary Neff received a pin for 70 years of membership. Delila Reile received a 60-year pin. Both of these ladies have been active ALA members throughout the years. Not present was Nancy Berg Mower who has been a member of the McClusky Unit for 50 years.
Joan Lasher, District Four President, presented the group with information from the District level. Certificates for the Friends of Our Troops (Christmas Cards) were handed out. Pearl Meckle has the honor of being first in the state and eighth nationally (2019) for writing 1,800 Christmas cards with a short letter to troops.
