Larson receives cake and plaque service thanks
By ALLAN TINKER
Brian Larson was honored for his 14 years of service on the McClusky School District board of directors, serving as president for 13 of those years. The honors were presented on July 28, at the annual board meeting. A cake, purchased by Superintendent Dale Ekstrom, (“Ugliest cake I have ever bought”) was a tasty marble cake treat for the guests and board members present. The cake’s ranking was due to the hand-drawn frosting thank you, quite off center on the cake. Coffee and punch were also available. Later, a perfectly-lettered
plaque was presented to Larson by Heidi Strobel, president-elect, from the board and school in recognition of the perfect work done by Larson during his 14 years of service.
The group recessed for 10 minutes to enjoy the treat and exchange thanks and bits of humor.
