Ladies and gentlemen, the classes of 2020
By ALLAN TINKER
We dedicate this issue to the graduating seniors from Goodrich and McClusky High Schools. They responded to our request for information each in their own way, and with photos. They are presented here, complete with the individual character of each student: honest, caring, and ready to join the world around them. Give them an air hug, congratulations, and a “take care”… all at proper social distancing. Live long and prosper! They are our 2020 gifts for the future. “There were many different activities I enjoyed in high school such as archery, taekwondo, FFA, choir, speech, and singing at various community related events. I had the opportunity of serving as the McClusky FFA president, receiving various scholarships, being invited to be a member of the National Honor Society, and being Valedictorian of the class of 2020. “In my high school career, I attended
several camps. One of these camps was hosted by Kat Perkins and it was related to singing. At the end of 2017, I was asked to perform a duet at one of her concerts in Hazen. This moment will always be cherished. “Also, in my freshman and sophomore year, I had the chance to go on multiple missionary trips in Mexico. “In the first semester of my senior
year, I completed and passed all the course requirements for graduating high school, as well as several college credits. I decided that I wanted to get a headstart on my future plans.
“In January of this year, I moved to Bismarck to attend the University of Mary. I am pursing a nursing degree. I am presently employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey. “In mid-March, everyone on campus had to move back home and continue classes online due to COVID-19.
