According to Jill Goven, there have been several positive In-fluenza cases in Turtle Lake this past week. Several of these patients needed to be hospitalized.
Influenza is a virus that causes general cold symptoms such as a runny nose, nasal congestion, and sore throat but it is also associated with a harsh cough, body aches, fever, and headaches. Patients also complain of weakness and fatigue.
Most people will recover without any treatment but Influenza can be serious for small children, the elderly, and the immune-compromised.
The complications for influenza can include pneumonia, dehydration, sinusitis, and ear infections.
