With a near-plethora of prizes for children and a grill, picnic basket and gift certificate for the adults, Holen’s Super Valu put on a very festive event for their first anniversary on March 30.
The Wednesday event brought people in to take advantage of the anniversary specials throughout the store, pick up a red and white commemorative cup (Scott and Diane gave away 140 and ran out), a free pen, a cup of coffee or punch, and a fresh donut.
A large celebratory red accented sign greeted drivers by and those expecting to sneak in early and avoid the crowd were not successful; the crowd came early and stayed late.
