Holen’s Super Valu improvements for better customer service

There they set, looking for all the world as if they have always been there. The new automatic doors that add accessibility to the store while leaving some steps outside for
regular access. Then, inside in half the space as the former counters, is the new scanner, bag holder and service area that gleams “function” in its newness. Diane Holen was enthusiastic about the doors, besides auto open and close for customers and carryout, the doors also admit a great deal of light, opening up the area into spacious moving about
room. Carts, people and grocery items move and blend in super comfort and ease. Yet to be added is permanent shelving close to the doors, to make use of available walls that
have nothing to do now, but “hang around.” Training came along with the new scanner, which sadly does NOT keep track of how many cans of food or other items were sold, but can do most everything else after programming and new work skills are formed. Diane said Scott and Zach had more computer use in their background, but since they each
have their own departments of work, she is learning more and inputting weekly stocking numbers for sales and reordering.
