Harvester and Lodge open with $1 specials and fireworks

The new owners of the Harvester Restaurant and the Lodge Bar had a selection of specials for their opening day on Saturday, July 2. The Lodge Bar changed ownership weeks earlier but remained open nearly continuously during the change.
New owners Chris and Alyssa Kamph as well as Casey and Brandi Schultz, who filled in for vacation time as managers and are brother and sister-in-law of Chris and Alyssa Kamph had a stack of fireworks ready for a display at 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Happy Hour specials ran from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
At the Harvester, Owner Brian Fitz, along with fiancé Andrea Deseth, delivered on sliders, fries, ice cream $1 specials, along with other menu favorites. There was a steady run of business throughout the day. The bowls of knoephla soup were a big favorite. Helping in the kitchen was Taylor Deseth.
