Grace Lutheran holds annual rummage sale and lunch
By ALLAN TINKER
With open faced-egg salad and hot ham and cheese sandwiches to tempt, along with a counter full of desserts and extra touches, Grace Lutheran Church held their annual rummage sale and lunch event on August 14.
Fresh produce, crafts, gently used, and baked items were available, along with a friendly atmosphere for a good dessert or filling lunch at midday.
One could find a doll for a child, a craft for decoration, or even a never-used item just waiting for a home. Colorful and well displayed it is a fun time to enjoy what others have made or donated.
Money earned from the event goes to support many projects of the church and community, with many volunteers happily donating time and various crafts and other items. Lutheran World Relief, local food banks, and many other opportunities arise for the good things the women of the church have to offer from their church to fill the needs of others.
The event runs from 10 am to 2 pm one day each summer every year.
