Goodrich Legion’s delayed celebration enjoys good weather
By ALLAN TINKER
Though a bit nippy, no blowing snow was a welcome sight on Saturday, December 3, for the re-scheduled Veteran’s Day American
Legion pancake and sausage fundraiser. Later, bingo and snacks added even more cheer for the group. The two arms of the Legion,
the veterans and auxiliary, both had Christmas gifts ready for delivery to area veterans. Headed out were Avon-inspired products, courtesy of Debbie Hausauer, Mercer, and her fundraising efforts. Veteran’s Officer James Paulus showed the selection of quality personal care
items in sturdy bags ready for delivery, with many already at distant veteran’s homes. The Lisbon Veteran’s Home was also a recipient
of many of these same bags.
