General dentistry and relieving pain

The new dentist at Northland Community Health Center’s Turtle Lake Clinic is Dr. Whitney Bruins, who enjoys working in the field of general dentistry. "Never the same thing every day," she smiled. "It is cool to be able to do many things and not just one thing all day long."
The next thing she likes most about her job is being able to relieve pain for her patients. "Seeing a patient in pain is the worst part of my job."
Bruins started her job in mid-June of 2015 and says she is happy to be back in North Dakota. "I always wanted to be back in a rural area and I am so happy that Turtle Lake has been so accepting of me." She learned of the job from a mutual friend, applied and was accepted.
Her work days are Monday through Friday but leaves at 1 p.m. on Friday. The clinic is located on the west side of Turtle Lake west of Community Memorial Hospital for those who might not know.
Bruins is the daughter of grain farmer Kevin and DuraTech International receptionist Debbie Carlson of Windsor, which is near Jamestown. Bruins has two siblings, sisters Carly and Kelly. She graduated from Pingree/Buchanan High School and was "big on track" through her high school and college years.
