Flood of Love

Flood of Love
Submitted by
Rev. George Schuessler
From Medora to Minot, from Williston to Bismarck/Mandan and it seems everywhere in between, communities and individuals across Western North Dakota have experienced millions of dollars in property damage caused by overland and river flooding and ground water seepage.
Sheridan County has seen its share of water difficulties, but nothing to compare to what has happened along the Souris/Mouse or Missouri Rivers. The “Heart of North Dakota” is moved in a “Flood of Love” to help raise money to help people to recover from this summer of disasters.
On Sunday, Aug. 21, Grace Lutheran Church will be holding a special worship service at 10:30 a.m. to gather in God’s Word and in prayer to lift up the needs of God’s people that have been affected by the floods and to call attention to our responsibilities of reaching out with help in this time of recovery.
Former McClusky pastor, Rev. Charles Taft and his wife Susan will be the guest speakers. The Tafts lost their home to the river flooding in Minot.
