By ALLAN TINKER
The first applicant for the superintendent vacancy at the school arrived promptly for the March 22, 5 p.m. interview and a tour of the school premises. McClusky School Board
Acting President Roberta Hunt introduced the candidate Steve Brannan. Brannan provided a one-page overview of his credentials, work history and intentions to help the
school. Currently Brannon is serving as part-time supervisor of student teachers for early childhood through high school for the University of Mary. He is an Army National
Guard veteran, and most recently work part time as an interim-associate superintendent for the Bowman County School District. He retired for one year after 12 years as Superintendent of Garrison Public Schools, when he decided to continue his passion, working for ND rural Schools. “I have a profound respect for public schools and I can’t say
no,” he offered. Prior to these, he had also spent 26 years as teacher, coach and administrator for ND Catholic Schools.
