Firemen cite safety first

With safety foremost and training geared to saving firemen’s lives as well as fire victim’s, the McClusky Fire Dept met for their monthly meeting at City Council chambers.
Newly elected fire department leader, Chief Kendon Faul, led the short meeting, highlighted by a presentation of a Monsanto grant from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities grant division.
The grant is sponsored by the Monsanto Fund to support local farming communities. The program, which launched in 2010, allows farmers to enter to win a $2,500 donation for their favorite community nonprofit organization, such as 4-H, FFA, schools, fire departments and other civic groups.
