Fatal crash east of Pickardville

On August 26, 2022, a threevehicle fatal crash involving a school bus occurred on ND State Highway 200, ½ mile east of Pickardville, at mile marker 221. The accident happened at 3:40 p.m. with dry road conditions and on asphalt, with good summer driving conditions and mostly cloudy sky.: The vehicles involved included passenger car, ¾ ton pickup towing a trailer, and a school activity bus, and a head on type of crash: Agencies Involved: were the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, McLean County Sheriff’s Office, Mer-cer Rural Fire Department, McClusky Rural Fire Department, Goodrich Fire Department, and a North Dakota Department
of Transportation. The first vehicle was a passenger car, a tan, 2004 Chevrolet Impala with the driver Danielle Germain, a 35-yearold
female, from Harvey. Restraints were not in use, she died at the scene.
