Farm to Market paved road truck speed raised

A group of producers and other interested parties gathered at the regular Sheridan County Commission meeting for a long discussion on road speeds, road damage impacts,
and community area agricultural convenience. The discussion on September 7, resulted in the paved portion of the farm to market road north of McClusky to the nine-mile curve speed limit being raised to 55 mph. Not the gravel portion. A motion for the change by Commissioner Rod Schilling passed, 3-0. Those present for input were Co-op Elevator representatives, Brian Larson, Kendon Faul and Kody Faul; farmer and manufacturer Randy Miller, Sheridan County Weed Control officer Laverne Laib, Sheriff Trent Naser,
Wold Engineering Representative Mike Rivinius, farmers Troy Stein and Jay Gahner, farmers, Sheridan County Road Foreman Alvin Gross; also present were Commission
President Sandra Felchle, Commissioner Shannon Dieterle, and County Auditor Shirley Murray.
