Delayed by days of high wind, Teϋmer’s Custom Pride crew was finishing work at the Darvin Pfennig farm home south of McClusky. They had resided the exterior and repaired the roof, removing and remodeling an outside entrance to the basement.
Another local job was waiting for wind and supplies. They have contracted work through word of mouth and references from other customers, using the “helps” through the state’s Dept. of Commerce to aid them in their re-location effort to ND.
Owner and patriarch of the crew, Frank Teϋmer, noted that all his sons, as well as himself, had grown up working in construction and woodworking. “They can do anything, construction wise.” He added that they do not do electrical or plumbing work but know enough to be able to catch any deficiencies in work done by other professionals and keep the quality of the completed job high. There are no specialists on the Teumer jobs; they all do everything that needs to be done.
Frank stated that they specialize in custom interiors, doing research on what the customer wants, often taking a photo and building from that example. They had completed projects in states as diverse as Texas, Georgia, Indiana and Illinois.
“Custom work is not necessarily expensive,” Frank explained. “We try to make custom work affordable so that those who want to have something special and nice can afford to have it done. “Affordability and quality of work,” he emphasized, is the hallmark of what they do.
