Plans for the adult education technology classes that will be offered this fall at the McClusky School were based on the information gathered from the survey conducted by the school in August. The organizers recognize that participation was small, but stated they appreciate the responses they did receive for offering Community Adult Education Technology Classes.
The fall schedule for the Adult Education Technology Classes being offered by the school to the community includes the following:
Session 1: Wednesday, Sep-tember 14, 5 to 7 p.m.; Computer Basics, Maintenance, and Security.
Session 2: Wednesday, Sep-tember 21; 5 to 7 p.m. Microsoft Office – Basic Excel, Creating Mailing Lists, Address Books.
Session 3: Tuesday, Oc-tober 18, 5 to 7 p.m.; Using Digital Photos and Digital Scrapbooking.
Session 4: Tuesday, October 25, 5 to 7 p.m.; Internet Safety, Using Social Networking, Netiquette.
Session 5: Wednesday, No-vember 9, 5 to 7 p.m.; Writing Personal Histories, Researching Genealogy.
Session 6: Tuesday, November 15, 5 to 7 p.m.; Technology Gadgets: IPods, IPads, Kindles, Nooks, etc.
The website survey drew the entire response pool of information for the classes, with no responses from the other venues.
The most popular time slot for the classes was the one selected from the responses for the classes. A large portion (10) on the responders stated no preference to day of the week the classes would be offered. Responses stating a preference indicated Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night would be preferred in an almost-even (5-5-6) split.
