Deputy doing work he always wanted to do

“I always wanted to be a deputy for as long as I can remember,” stated Christopher Kluth, the newest member of the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department staff.
His father, Allen Kluth was a police officer in Wells County, now in Bottineau County; their “serve and protect” blood appears to have passed from father to son.
Kluth was born in Carrington and attended elementary school in Fessenden, graduating from Wimbledon-Courtenay High School. He attended Wahpeton for a time, studying electrical engineering but then moved to Jamestown and worked as a correctional officer at the Stutsman County Correctional Center.
From Jamestown, Kluth moved to Fargo, where he was a security officer for Century Security, becoming a supervisor there.
After a year, he applied for and was hired as a Sheridan deputy.
There are five children in the Kluth family, along with mother Lanita (Morehouse), four boys and one girl. Chris is single, with no children.
