Council hears Moore Engineering communication plans
Following an earlier pre-city meeting with city maintenance Tom Giese, Moore Engineering and Tand Construction brought their plans for better communication to the March 11 regular meeting of the McClusky City Council. All council members except Jon French, who was ill, were present.
After approval of routine bill payment and authorizations, Moore Engineering representatives addressed a change plan to meet weekly to discuss work completed for the previous week, plans for the current week, and plans based upon those weeks for upcoming project work. A report will be given to the city regarding these meetings.
Due to miscommunications, uncovering gate valves down time was billed at $338, engineer will pay for staking error that resulted from a typo, and excavating to find operating condition of a valve on Ave B north and Main Street was necessary. This amount $1,149, was determined to be due for a boring error by West River Telecommunications. The bore had rendered the gate valve inoperable. The city passed a motion to bill WRT for the costs to pay Tand Construction.
