Co-op Elevator see all up indicators

There wasn’t any downside to the McClusky Co-op Elevator unless you didn’t win the grand prize, the Pecan Sandies. Then it was sad, very sad, for everyone but the smiling winner.
Other door prize winners received prizes ranging from rodent poison to window cleaner, with a pile of small coolers filled with good stuff to pick up on the way out the door. Inside the coolers were an insulated cup, notepad and pen, and a giant magnet clip, ready to hang up those handy field records on the roof or wall of the tractor or the cow/calf numbers on the truck dash.
The meal, served by the Union Grill, was meat loaf, potatoes au gratin, peas and a dessert. Coffee and punch were also available.
The reports, only slightly better than the meal, were presented by the Eide Bailly partner, Mark Engelhart, a CPA. He noted that only "minimal adjustments" had been necessary to make for the records during the audit, a first for some time for the elevator. The audit was required for a particular item of business, with prior years’ work done in compilations by the previous accountant Nick Storhaug.
Engelhart commended the work done by the elevator’s bookkeeper Ben Wagner in the good records that had been kept.
No comparison was available on an audit basis as this was the first year. Engelhart stated a comparison of audited amounts of expenses and revenues would be available at next year’s meeting.
