Co-Op assistant manager leads agronomy department
Assistant Manager Kendon Faul is the official “agronomist” for the McClusky Co-Op Elevator, starting his employment in August of 2000. He handles chemicals, seed, and fertilizer sales and recommendations to customers. He is a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) and holds an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from UND Lake Region in Devils Lake. He also earned his peace officers license and was employed by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s office for 18 months. Prior to Lake Region, he studied criminal law and computer science at Minot State University for 1 and 1/2 years. With his diverse interests and training, which included a year working for Osterlund Woodworks, Inc. in McClusky, Faul likes doing “what I do,” he stated. He completes field inspections, lines up spraying and handles the ever-growing agronomy division. He attributes the growth to the no-till and minimum till practices that have become popular, replacing the black-dirt and summer fallow rotation farming of previous generations of farmers.
