A special meeting was called by the McClusky City Council on March 12, to interview an applicant for the long-vacant city assessor position. Marlo Clark presented her background information and plans for training for the position. The city council approved the application and the adjustments necessary for the assessment work to be brought up to date. Present for the meeting was Mayor Bryon Belile, Nathan Rhoads, Lee Wahl, Cheryl Helm, and Jon French by telephone. City Auditor Wayne Houston was also present. Clark was up front about her nerve damage in her right leg and the need for occasional help in completing her assessments. She stated some days she can walk “miles” and other days has lost right leg function. Feeling is absent along the top portion of that leg length. ”I usually have warning signs of trouble,” she noted. She has planned for help to assist her at this time.
