Christmas treats and appreciation dispensed to community
The day was long for volunteers and equally long on the generous spirit of the community. Fundraisers support many community activities and they are supported by donations and time spent making the individual event’s wheels turn.
This year’s McClusky Merchant’s Association dinner featured tacos, with 199 diners turning out for the event. Association President Jeff Martwick said calculations on the amounts needed for the night came close, but a few diners got vegetarian style tacos as the meat filling ran out with about 15 diners to go. With chips, cheese, lettuce, toppings, taco shells and cookies, everyone still got fed.
