Christmas sale draws early crowd

With a waiting line inside the door packed tightly and receiving boxes to hold purchases, the annual Sheridan Memorial Home Christmas craft and pie social was ready to go.
Promptly at 2 p.m., the buyers advanced into the display area.
A Christmas tree provided cheer in the background, along with a polar bear mom and cub lit display. Tables of handmade crafts and homemade candies, cookies, lefse, baked goods, and German noodles (knoephla), and popcorn treats were arranged for sale in bright Christmas colors.
