Choice picnic both treats and feeds

With a new rain gauge their first gift, a handy item this year in the Sheridan County area, residents by tens, couples, singles and families, gathered to have their annual outdoor picnic supper at the Goodrich Park. The meal was compliments of Choice Financial Services of Goodrich and the bank staff served.
Linda Winter registered guests and they were treated to a fine meal of salads, grilled meats, choice of beverage and white or chocolate cake. There was no waiting and the crowd kept an eye on the clouds overhead that stayed away for the entire event.
Door prizes were handed out by the Junior Bankers group of students, minus those who were gone for summer jobs or vacations. The names were drawn for the various goodies, which ranged from shiny insulated water bottles to collectible quarters in a handy case. Trish Mindt kept track of the prizes in case someone had left early.
