Choice Junior Bank Board take educational day trip
The members of the Junior Bank Board of the Goodrich Branch of Choice Financial recently took a one day trip to Fargo for a full day of activities.
The group met up with other Junior Bank Board members from all Choice Financial locations. After Leaving Goodrich bright and early at 6 A.M., they arrived at the Microsoft Campus at 9:45 AM for a tour of the facilities. During the tour of the facility, the group learned the history of Microsoft in Fargo, starting with the acquisition of Great Plains Software. They also heard about the future development plans of the company worldwide, as well as for the Fargo Campus.
The Junior Bank Board members also were informed of internships and programs available young people interested in information technology during the very educational morning.
They had lunch at the Ramada Plaza Crystal Ballroom, and then they started off the afternoon with the first guest speaker, Craig Bohl, head football coach for NDSU. Bohl spoke about the importance of being good leaders and how leadership comes with responsibility and accountability.
The next speaker was NDSU head boy’s basketball coach, Saul Phillips. Phillips stressed the importance have having goals in life and how the road to accomplish those goals may take unexpected turns.
The third speaker for the afternoon was Erv Inniger. Inniger told the group they were the “cream of the crop” and encouraged them to live up to their potential.
