Camp Read-A-Lot ELA family night
On Tuesday evening, November 17, Family ELA Night held its fun fair with the theme "Camp Read-A-Lot."
Parents and children gathered at a table with Bingo cards featuring pictures of camping items like flashlight, sleeping bag, bear, bug spray, and other similar items. Whoever got a Bingo got a prize.
Next, they made their own S’mores with graham crackers, chocolate bars and crème marshmallow without a "campfire." They had to describe what S’mores is like, for example: messy, delicious, gooey, tasty, sweet or yummy.
The children and their parents went to a room where four tents were set up with "campfires". There were four blankets on the floor with books for those who wanted to read.
