Blade men hired for County Highway Dept.

Bobby Martin, from Martin, ND, was hired to fill one of the positions for the Sheridan County Highway Dept. He was offered $14 an hour plus benefits.
Blade operators are salaried employees who work a 45-hour work week and work extra hours in emergency conditions. They are offered either over-time pay or comp time, as agreed upon when hired.
Martin comes well qualified with a Class A CDL and more than 30 years of heavy equipment experience. He has worked for Border States Paving, Har-vey Ready Mix, Harvey Motor Service, and has had auto mechanic training at Bismarck State College.
Martin resides in one of the areas being vacated by retiring worker Cecil Schuh.
All applicants have to pass a drug and alcohol test before being employed and/or paid by the county. Background checks are also done when deemed necessary.
The second person hired was a new person to the area: Rodney Lindsey, who listed his address as Underwood but spoke of purchasing a house in McClusky for him and his family.
