The herd - Bison herd that is - returned to Mercer for a short but lively all school open house reunion on Friday, July 9. The doors to the Mercer School Gymnasium
(now Community Center) were opened at 1 p.m. to a long line of alumni. Approximately 230 Mercer School graduates and attendees were welcomed by Pam Freeberg
Lill and Deb Westerlind Sparrow, Class of 65. Connie Freeberg Gonser, Class of 59, led the group in the school song followed by introductions by class of those present. Mary Ann Miller Westerlind, class of 43, was the representative from the earliest class in attendance. She was given a black and white (school colors) Bison corsage to wear for the day.
Bars, coffee, and cold drinks were available all afternoon. A free-will donation taco bar opened at 4:30.
