Big crowd for McClusky Elementary Christmas concert
A large crowd of family and friends came to enjoy the McClusky Elementary School Christmas concert at the high school gym on Thursday, December 10. Chelsea Peters is the music instructor.
The Sixth Grade Band performed two selections "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "Countdown to Christmas."
Fifth grader Tia McMillan performed her violin with Miss Peters at the piano. Her music selection was "Jolly Old St. Nicholas." Another fifth grader Parker Jerkovich performed "A-Tisket, A-Tasket" on his drum. Karleigh Baker, sixth grader, played "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" on her flute.
Sixth grade band members are Karleigh Baker, flute; Easton Frey and Gryphon Mulkey, trumpet, and Rayden Wanner, euphonium. The sixth grade band was assisted by high school band members. They were Carson Houser and Lucas Rath, percussion; Shelby Faul, alto saxophone, Shayna Crimmins, baritone saxophone, and Kody Faul, trumpet.
The kindergarten and sixth graders put on a program called "The Grumps of Ring-A-Ding Town." There were seven scenes. First scene, kindergarteners came on stage ringing the bells with a title "Hear Them Ring." Soloists were Treyton Kaul, Irie Irwin, Daphne Lauer and Karleigh Baker. Next scene "Grumpy" was performed. "Snowmaggedon" was the next scene with soloists: Jolynne Strobel and Brody Dockter. "Together" was the all-cast singing scene. "Jingle Bells" with soloists: Lindsey Abrahamson and Lilly Bobbins. Two more scenes were "Sound in Your Heart" and "Hear Them Ring (Reprise) finished the program.
