Sheridan County Shirley Mur-ray offers the following information about the upcoming June election processes. She states that sometime after April 23rd Sheridan County residents will receive a postcard application in the mail to “Vote by Mail” (VBM) for the June 12th primary election.
Those who voted in the 2010 Elections will receive this application from the Sheridan County Auditor’s Office to complete and return.
“When completing the application, check the ‘all elections box’ if you wish to vote in the general election, also,” Murray adds. “This will allow the Auditor’s office to send you a ballot automatically for the general election in the fall and less postage expense for both the voter and Sheridan County.”
The voter will be mailed a ballot for their precinct, along with the return envelopes and instructions for completing their ballot and returning.
If voters choose not to vote by mail, a polling place will be located at the McClusky City Hall in the Community Room for anyone wanting to cast their ballot in person.
Murray adds, “Follow-ing the mailing of applications to all voters from the 2010 elections, a notice will be published in the official county newspaper, along with an application, notifying all individuals who did not receive an application of how to obtain one from the Sheridan County Auditor’s Office.”
