Annual Sportsmen's Club Fish Fry

The place to be last Saturday night was the American Legion Post 124 in McClusky for the Annual Sportsman’s Club Fish Fry Fundraiser and Membership drive. While everyone was paying for their meal, members of the club were paying their dues, working in the kitchen and at the registration table. Over the course of the next hour or so, around 100 had their fill of fish and sides.
The tables were nearly filled with folks visiting as the kitchen was buzzing with activity. It was almost 6 p.m. and everyone was waiting for the call to "come and get it". The smell of fish frying was in the air and the buffet style tables were filled with the trimmings of coleslaw, buns, pickles, potato chips, and the best bars and cake you could find anywhere. The only thing missing was the fish.
