American Legion Auxiliary holds salad luncheon

Twenty Auxiliary members and guests gathered for the annual Unit salad luncheon on August 17, 2016. Following a delicious lunch of salads to satisfy all tastes, President Lynn Helm introduced this year’s Girls State candidate, Skylar Simes.
Skylar is the daughter of Ashley (Simes) Farrell, granddaughter of Susan (Peterson) Simes, and great-granddaughter of Sybil Peterson. All four generations were present for the luncheon.
Skylar presented a Power Point review of the week (June 5-10) spent at Girls State on the UND campus. She was an active participant in the governmental process ranging from local cities to two national parties.
