Dominican Republic trip a journey not vacation
Just a small town athlete, soon headed to college. But it was the trip of a lifetime, not a vacation but a journey, according to Kevin Klemisch, 2013 McClusky High School valedictorian and top basketball player.
Open door policy for new McClusky Clinic health care provider
“I am happy to be here,” smiled Cassie Busch, FNP-C, the new health care provider for Northland Community Health Care’s McClusky Clinic and Turtle Lake Clinic. “I appreciate everyone welcoming me after Sarah’s departure. My door is always open.”
FEMA kickoff held in courthouse community room
In the only room outside of the courtroom large enough for the meeting, FEMA officials gathered with local officials and organized township representatives to discuss the funding and its requirements for emergency and permanent repairs.

August County Commission meeting fairly quiet
Not much new was discussed at the Sheridan County Commissioner’s meeting held Aug 8. Steve Eisenbeisz, who is interested in a position as a Sheridan County Commissioner, sat in for the morning portion of the meeting.
Streets, beer and pay issues fill August council meeting
Streets, one way or another, dominated the time at the August 12 meeting of the McClusky City Council.
School board members okay price increases and resignation
Prices go up, even for schools. The fees and expenses okayed for increases, some not changed for several years are: Hot lunch, $2.25, elementary; $2.50, high school and guest student; $3, staff; adult guest, $3.25; breakfast, everyone, $1.25; milk, $.25.
New business manager enjoying return to school
With a return to the school from which she left, just not too many years ago, Andrea Voegele is happy to see at least two familiar faces still among the teachers: Roberta Froehlich, Carol Abra-hamson, and Arlin Fylling.
Daycare subject of evening meeting
With a lone volunteer to manage the proposed daycare, Ilene Gross, and a full table of those ready to discuss the issues, two representatives from the ND Child Care Resource and Referral Agency provided information on what it would take to start a daycare in McClusky.
Maintenance work a good job
Thomas (Tom) Giese is the new, as of March 22, maintenance person for the city of McClusky.
