Ice Fishing Derby lures 48 participants
It was a cold, cold morning for an ice-fishing derby unless you were tucked into your warm fish house with large homemade sausage sizzling on a small stove, and friends to keep you company. Saturday, February 22, the McClusky Sportsman’s Club hosted their first derby this year on Cottonwood Lake, just north of Butte.
Dinner for delegates features dignitaries
A loyal and hungry crowd gathered at the Harvey Eagles Club on Sunday night for the District 14 Republican meeting. They dined on roast beef and all the trimmings, topped off with a cream cheese frosted cake dessert.
From pots and pans to pupils
Asked why he chose drums as a musical instrument, Jeremy Lauer smiled as he thought. "They were loud and we had lots of pots and pans for me to practice on," Lauer said.
Feeder Calf tour teaches as it tours
Turtle Lake Voc Ag students, along with feeder calf owners, interested investors and business owners and friends, all learned as they visited the 2013 group of calves, as they had previous years’ feeder calves from the October shows and competitions in Turtle Lake.
