The state has issued its increase recommendations for property tax assessments in the state.
Winter drops a stormy day for goodbyes
It was a dim and stormy afternoon, with blowing winds and icy roads. But, coffee brewed, punch was poured, and cupcakes settled in for the trip to the tables to provide lunch for the guests.
Helm gives up post on Park Board
Arlington Helm gave up his remaining duties with the Sheridan County Park board and the commissioners will try to find a replacement for him at the next regular meeting on January 5.

Music brings Christmas joy to the community
Wednesday and Thursday last week were each split into days of Christmas Joy. Families, divided into groups by the first letter of their last name, with some flexibility, attended either the morning or early afternoon concerts at the McClusky High School.
Bringing joy in younger packages
Joy in a younger version, was represented and performed by the kindergarten through sixth grade students on Thursday morning and afternoon, the day following the split performances of grades seven through twelve band and choir.

Laura Lieberman has a familiar background to many of the working families in the area. She grew up with a family based in developing good efforts in life at work and school.
Beer license, flags, and engineer reports provide agenda variety
Retail beer and/or liquor licenses were approved at the December city meeting for two local businesses that provided applications and payment in full with their requests.
Short meeting long on ideas
With four of five members on board for the December meeting of the McClusky Job Development Authority, the group started promptly at 7 p.m. and worked quickly through the agenda for less than an hour.
