Neuharth holds record for Sheridan elected public service
Robert Neuharth didn’t start out to set a record, but he did. He holds the title, 41 years, as the longest serving elected official in Sheridan County, so far.
Essigs recognized for service to county
With Hugo Essig officially receiving recognition for his service as elected treasurer for Sheridan County, Frances was also there to note her service as “deputy” as well. The two were part of the Sheridan Centennial observances at the Sheridan County Courthouse on July 17, 2009.
New part time superintendent hired
A new part-time superintendent was hired on July 29, with the offer of a contract to Lee Kelm. Kelm most recently worked for the Drake School District as a part time superintendent.
A man for many reasons

Sheridan County 2009 Achievement Day results
Results of the Sheridan County Achievement Day held on Thursday July 16, at the 4-H building on the Hoffer Lake site, included the following project participants and their placement:
Centennial Fashion Revue huge success!
The County Centennial celebration on July 17, 18, and 19, included a Fashion Revue on Saturday afternoon in the McClusky High School auditorium.
Choice Financial Group held its annual customer appreciation supper on July 14 at the Goodrich American Legion Hall in spite of rainy and windy weather.
