4-H Exhibitors excel for 2020 judging

4-H Exhibitors excel for 2020 judging

Sheridan County 4-H Achievement Days were held on June 30, July 1 and 2, differently due to Covid-19 precautions. Sheridan County 4-H abided by NDSU’s regulations,
which are stricter than state regulations. On June 30, 4-H families dropped off their exhibits. July 1, the exhibits were evaluated by judges. Then, on July 2, photographs were taken of the members and their exhibits. The exhibitors then took their exhibits home. Achievement Days were conducted in this manner to help eliminate personal contact and keep families
and staff safe. 4-H members worked very hard this year on their exhibits. Since members were unable to interview with judges, they filled out absentee judging forms to go with
each exhibit. The absentee judging forms asked questions on why they chose to make the exhibit, how the exhibit was made, what skills they acquired, any problems in making
the exhibit, and how they could improve the exhibit. Although numbers were down this year, there were still many wonderful projects. Sheridan County 4-H is proud of all their members’ hard work and initiative. The livestock show portion of Achievement Days will be held on August 3, 2020, in the morning.
