On Wednesday, July 14, at 10 a.m., Sheridan County Extension will hold the annual 4-H Livestock Show in the Hoffer Lake 4-H Arena.
The static exhibits will be collected and set up at 12 noon and the judging will start at 1 p.m.
At 4 p.m. the public may view the 4-H Static Exhibits.
From 4-8 p.m. the 4-H Raffle will be held, with the winners announced at 8 p.m.
At 6 p.m. judging of the Baked Bean Contest will be held and at 6:30 the free Community Supper will be offered to the public.
The Cultural Arts Fair and Exhibit will also be held during the same afternoon time frame at the same location, the large 4-H Building to the north of the road to Hoffer Lake.
Annie Fylling, Extension secretary states, “The public is encouraged to share their talents with the community by exhibiting items they have made. Suggestions for exhibits would be sewing projects, quilts, woodworking, photography, embroidery, metal or glass art, canning, etc. All exhibits are for display only and will not be judged.
“We would also like to view ‘Old and Interesting’ items. These items need not be made by you. They can be bought, inherited, gifted to you or found at a rummage sale.
“Anything you think might be old or of interest to others would be appreciated. Suggestions for these would be an older wedding dress or suit, antique garden tools, old valentine cards, antique household appliances or toys, etc.
