Wilton soars over Washburn in Reg. 5 semis

The red-hot Lady Miners continued their torrid stretch by subduing the rival Washburn Cardinals in three sets last Thursday, propelling them to the Region 5 Championship.
The Nov. 12 clash between the neighboring schools saw Wilton-Wing use their trademark cohesiveness to jump out to an early lead in the first two sets. The Purple and White then proceeded to finish off the lagging opposition 25-8.
Assist queen Kiara Johnson was among the standouts, as she paced the team with 25 assists.
