The Wilton-Wing boys basketball team and head coach Trevor Yetterboe have been looking to turn the corner on the season. The team has played in some really close games this season and have been looking to come out on top.
Richardton-Taylor’s Raiders came to Wilton, January 24 to face the Miners who were looking for a good win in front of their home crowd.
The Miners would clamp down on defense in the first quarter only allowing six points to the Raiders, and getting some great inside outside work from talls and smalls, Nick Backman and Tate Dickson.
Dickson had nine and Backman had six, to give them a nine-point lead heading into the second.
Richardton would respond in the second, holding N. Backman in check, and going into halftime down by two 20-22.
The Raiders continued good play on offense, taking the lead in third quarter 39-34.
