Washburn rallies past Coyotes for region win
Washburn rallied from a 0-2 deficit to pull out a 3-2 victory over Grant County, Sept. 26, in Elgin.
The Cardinals improved to 4-1 in Region 5, and 10-4 overall, while Grant County fell to 5-13 on the season, including a 0-2 mark in Region 5.
GC rolled to a 25-13 victory in the opening set, and the Coyotes used a late surge to capture a 25-20 win in the second set for a 2-0 lead in the match. However, Washburn turned it around from there, starting with an impressive performance in the third set
