Warriors wipe out Cardinals regional run

A tight game against the Washburn Cardinals and Standing Rock Warriors broke out in the first round of Regionals on March 9th at the Event Center in Bismarck.
It took a few minutes for both sides to find their rhythm in the first after a couple of sloppy plays lead to takeaways from both ends. Cardinals punched out a three
before going on a 12-5 run. Warriors would pick things up towards the end of the quarter knocking the lead down to one heading into the second. Scrappy play ensued as
both Cardinals and Warriors put up tough defense making no shot easy. A tie at 18-18 would keep things close as each side gave up a handful of jumpers leading to back and
forth lead changes. Warriors slipped away with a 26-23 lead to go into the half.
