The Underwood Comets, undefeated locally all season, have earned a bye into the District 10 boys tournament this month.
The Comet boys will skip play on the first day of the District 10 tournament at the end of the month, as the team has gone 6-0 in the district this season. The Comets, coached by Alex Jangula, will face the winner of the round one game between Garrison and Wilton-Wing, who play at 4 p.m. on Feb. 28 in Garrison.
The Comets come into the tournament after a hot season, which started with their 58-25 victory over Washburn on Jan. 7. The team would go on to best Garrison on Jan. 16, coming out ahead 57-49.
The Trojans would fall to Underwood by 30 points on Jan. 21, and the Cossacks would also taste defeat when the Comets beat them 72-39 the week after.
